CWDA Facebook Page: Please Like and share our Facebook page. There is a link on our website. We regularly post reminders, updates, and photos and it’s a great way to keep informed. You’ll need to Like regularly to ensure you always receive the posts on your timeline.

Enrolment Form: I’d like to request all new students ensure you return a completed enrolment form to your teacher please. Existing students who have moved or changed contact details are asked to fill out a new form too please. You can print a copy of the registration form from our website. Please read carefully our “Guidelines and Policies” before completing and handing to a teacher.

Uniform: New students wanting to purchase our uniform can find all relevant uniform information on our website. This can be downloaded and printed for your convenience.
Duckies are the sole supplier of CWDA singlets, crop tops, t-shirts, shorts, 3/4 pants, jazz pants and jackets. Orders need to be placed with Nicole Angell (Caitlin’s mum) on 041 531912 and payment must be handed to her before the order can be placed with Duckies. There’s a price list for these uniform items on the noticeboard. A very big thank you to Nicole for organising uniform orders.
Students purchasing shoes and our leotards can do so from Flight Dance Supplies (Tuggerah), Erina Danzwear; or Dance Stuff (East Gosford). Please note that pink leather ballet shoes must be the Bloch brand and split-sole are preferred. Please do not purchase other brands as they are not an accepted part of our uniform.
Pointe shoes are Gaynor Minden brand and can be purchased from Dance Boutique at Cardiff.

New Uniform Items: Duckies are now able to make to order new long trackpants to match our jackets. They will be made from the same fabric as the jackets and are ideal for colder weather and for eisteddfods. These long pants will only be made to order, so please allow sufficient time when ordering for competitions and before winter. All soloists are expected to wear these pants and jackets when representing our school.

Concert 2018: The concert in 2018 will be held at The Art House theatre at Wyong on Sunday 2nd December. Please mark this date in your calendar.

Timetable: Please ensure you’ve read the new timetable for 2018. There are some slight changes for this year, including the introduction of a Boys Hip Hop class. We’d love to encourage any interested boys to try a couple of classes to see if they like hip hop. No previous experience is necessary. Please let us know if interested.

I’d like to encourage our jazz and tap students to consider taking ballet classes. To be a serious dancer, ballet is an essential tool in gaining the necessary technique for all other dance styles. It also teaches poise, good posture and self-discipline, all valuable assets to have in life.

Private Lessons: CWDA offers private lessons to students for solos, duos and trios. We believe students benefit from private lessons as they receive individual attention, gain extra confidence and increase their ability, skills and performance qualities. Students MUST do weekly classes to be eligible for private lessons.

Please remember to keep the waiting room noise to a minimum this year, as the noise is a distraction to teachers and students. Also there is to be no food brought into the waiting room at any time, this includes drinks and slushies. Students are asked to bring only water to class.

The following are a few points to remember for those new to the school:-
1. Please park at rear of the studio at all times (main studio).
2. Parents are asked not to wait upstairs while lessons are in progress. We need to keep noise to a minimum, so as not to disrupt lessons (main studio).
3. Watching days for parents are at the end of term one and two. Please watch the notice board and newsletters for these dates. There are no watching days in terms 3 or 4, as we prepare for the exams and concert.
4. All fees must be paid up to date at all times. Please put all fees in an envelope with name and date.
5. Fees are payable even if your child is absent.
6. We love to discuss your child's progress. But please realise we have the next class to begin and need to keep these discussions brief.
7. All siblings of students must be supervised by their parents at all times when in the waiting room (main studio). Please keep them off the stairs, away from windows, toilets, and don’t allow them to run around or slam the doors. Similarly it’s the responsibility of parents to ensure your child is sitting quietly while waiting for their class to start.

All pre-ordered DVDs of last years' concert will be available for collection at the studio after classes resume.

Referral program: Your referrals are the biggest compliment we can receive, and we certainly appreciate them! When you refer your friends to CWDA, we will give you a special discount off your fees.
Details: - Refer a friend and earn free dance classes.
Encourage one of your friends to sign up for classes (must be a new student). They get a $25.00 discount, and you also receive a $25.00 credit towards your classes, after they have completed and paid for 2 months of classes. Refer as many friends as you like, and you’ll receive $25 credit towards your fees for each referral.
